When you think about balancing work and life, we often aim for balance on a day to day basis. Unfortunately, that simply increases stress because daily balance is very difficult to manage during a period of particular focus in one area — a work deadline or a family member’s health crisis, for example. Instead of feeling guilty for failing to achieve balance on a daily timeframe, consider taking a long-term view and strive for balance on a weekly or monthly basis.
